By January 2025, the City of Tshwane announced that water supplied from the Magalies Klipdrift Water Treatment Plant to Hammanskraal was deemed safe for consumption. This milestone marked the completion of Phase 1 of a multi-phase project aimed at delivering clean water to various wards, including Mandela Village and Marokolong. Further phases are planned to extend this benefit to additional areas.
